If you experience symptoms such as persistent nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea with your current Wegovy dose, speak to our patient care team for advice as soon as possible. We can work with you on adjusting both your dose and diet to help you manage side effects.

Our app, renu, also has a helpful section on how to manage side effects.

To manage side effects, we recommend the following:

  • Inject yourself with the treatment at the same time and day each week.
  • Choosing an injection time in the evening may be help stop nausea from effecting your day.
  • Stay hydrated throughout the day drinking water and non-caffeinated drinks.
  • Fresh air and movement can help with the feeling of nausea and fatigue. Getting outside at least once a day can also help with insomnia symptoms.
  • If you are struggling with constipation, increase your fibre intake – we recommend eating crunchy fruit and vegetables.

It's important to not increase your Wegovy dose until your body is ready, so make sure you contact our friendly Simple Online Pharmacy team if you have persistent side effects.
