Some patients may be able to switch from Wegovy injection to Wegovy Pill, but this must be clinically assessed first.
You should not switch treatment without clinical guidance.
You should also not take Wegovy Pill and Wegovy injection at the same time.
Taking both together could increase the risk of side effects and overdose.
If switching is suitable, the equivalent daily Wegovy Pill can usually be started one week after your last Wegovy injection.
Your tablet dose will not be the same number as your injection dose.
Wegovy Pill uses higher doses because only a small amount of the tablet is absorbed by the body.
