Wegovy Pill may be suitable for patients who meet the relevant clinical criteria for weight loss treatment and who can safely take semaglutide.
Suitability must be confirmed by a prescriber.
BMI eligibility is the same as Wegovy injections: BMI over 30, or BMI over 27 with BAME or a weight-related health condition.
Some patients may also meet current waist circumference criteria.
If you are already on treatment and want to switch, your BMI at the start of treatment may be used.
You will still need to complete the required checks to support safe prescribing.
