After your first order, please follow the titration schedule shown below:
If you wish to increase your Mounjaro® dose, it is important to follow the recommended titration schedule. For example, if you are currently taking Mounjaro® 2.5mg, you will need to progress to 5mg before moving on to 7.5mg.
We will not be able to prescribe a higher dose if you skip a step in the titration schedule, such as going directly from 2.5mg to 7.5mg, unless you can provide evidence of an alternative supply covering the interim period.
The titration schedule is designed to help your body adjust to the treatment gradually. Increasing the dose in the recommended steps can help reduce the risk of side effects and allow your body time to adjust to the medication.
Skipping a step in the titration schedule may increase the risk of side effects and discomfort.
Do I have to increase my dose every month?
No. You do not have to increase your Mounjaro® dose at every opportunity.
Some patients may choose to remain on a particular dose for longer because:
- They are already experiencing good appetite control and weight management results at their current dose.
- They would like more time to adjust to the medication.
- They are experiencing side effects and do not yet feel ready to increase their dose.
There is no need to move up simply because a higher dose is available if your current dose is working well for you.
Any dose increase should follow the recommended titration schedule and be clinically appropriate for you. Do not skip dose strengths or increase your dose more quickly than recommended.
