How do I use Mounjaro® ?

Mounjaro is a highly effective, UK licenced weight loss treatment, shown in clinical trials to help achieve ~20% body weight loss. It is the latest GLP1 weight loss injection, and is used for people with a body mass index (BMI) over 30, or those with a BMI of 27 and a weight-related medical condition.

It contains the drug Tirzepatide and is a registered trademark of Eli Lilly.

It is known as Zepbound in the US, but launched in the UK under the brand name Mounjaro.

It is used once weekly, as a subcutaneous (under the skin) injection. More information on how to inject Mounjaro can be found in the Patient Information Leaflet.

Mounjaro can be injected in the abdomen, thigh or upper arm at any time during the day, with or without food. It’s recommended that you use it around the same time each week — this will regulate the medication’s effectiveness.

You’ll receive clear instructions with your first order, and the Mounjaro website has lots of useful information too. You can also access our helpful app, Renu [https://renu.simpleonlinepharmacy.co.uk/] , which is especially designed for patients using this medication as part of their weightcare journey.
