Pancreatitis
Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) is an uncommon but serious side effect of Mounjaro® and Wegovy®. People who develop pancreatitis can become very unwell.
When should I seek urgent medical help?
Seek urgent medical attention if you experience severe, persistent abdominal pain, particularly if the pain spreads to your back.
This may occur with other symptoms such as:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Fever
If you experience symptoms that could indicate pancreatitis, contact NHS 111 for urgent advice or attend A&E. Make sure the healthcare professionals assessing you are aware that you are taking Mounjaro® or Wegovy®.
