What is Wegovy® 7.2mg and who is it for?
Wegovy® 7.2mg is a higher maintenance dose of Wegovy® containing semaglutide.
It is used for weight management in adult patients with obesity where clinically appropriate.
Wegovy® 7.2mg is not a starting dose.
It may only be considered after a patient has already been using Wegovy® 2.4mg and where a prescriber has confirmed that a higher dose is suitable.
Patients should only use Wegovy® 7.2mg if it has been prescribed for them.
Wegovy® 7.2mg is now supplied as a single-use pre-filled pen.
Each pen contains one pre-set weekly dose and is used once only.
