If your Wegovy delivery took longer than 48 hours from dispatch, the next steps depend on whether the pen stayed below 30°C and when you plan to use it.
Wegovy FlexTouch pens can be safely transported below 30°C for up to 48 hours during the final delivery stage.
If your delivery took longer than this, the pen may no longer be considered to have remained within the standard unopened cold-chain storage conditions.
However, if there are no signs of heat exposure above 30°C, the pen is not damaged or leaking, and the solution is clear and colourless, you can use the pen as normal, provided you will use it within 6 weeks.
During this 6-week period, the pen can be stored either in the fridge or at room temperature below 30°C.
Please contact our Patient Care Team before using the pen if: the parcel was exposed to heat above 30°C; the parcel was left in direct sunlight or somewhere hot; the pen or packaging is damaged; the pen has leaked; the liquid is cloudy, coloured or has particles in it; you do not expect to use the pen within 6 weeks; you are unsure whether the pen is safe to use.
